Calmly Correcting Negative Behaviors Before They Start: 4 Skills for Relationship Success

Nicholeen Peck

For parents, calmness comes when we have confidence in how to handle a situation. What situations disrupt your calmness? And could a few new skills help you increase it? This session will answer these questions by showing you how to pre-teach your kids the skills for successful relationships—which, in turn, can help correct negative behaviors before they start. This session will also include training on how to calmly handle difficult situations when they do come up

Overcoming Math Anxiety to Create an Extraordinary Math Experience

Emily Dyke

Is math the cause of some serious discomfort and anxiety in your home? If so, this breakout session will help you overcome all that by changing how you think about math and your role as the math mentor for your kids. (Hint: It's not your job to be the dispenser of all math knowledge in your home. Phew!) Come learn how to help your kids love math and become more confident, powerful thinkers—no matter what curriculum you’re using. It’s time to create the math program you really want!
